The Taking Root Campaign

Putting down organizational roots today
to ensure a greener Knoxville tomorrow

Like you, all of us at Trees Knoxville are eager to protect, increase, and share the many benefits of trees throughout our community. Our satisfaction comes from knowing that our efforts make a difference, whether we’re planting street trees in neighborhoods and schools, giving away free saplings, or teaching residents how to protect and care for the valuable trees we already have.

Trees Knoxville has launched Taking Root, a $30,000 fund development campaign to support the position of a half-time project manager. Currently, Trees Knoxville relies only on volunteers—people just like you who give their time to promote a healthier tree canopy in our community. This new position would enable Trees Knoxville to hold more planting and tree events, educate more people, and ultimately increase our impact exponentially. As of October 2018, we have passed the half-way point of the funding goal and we are so grateful for the generous support we have received so far. At this time, however, Trees Knoxville needs your help to reach our goal and hire the project manager in time for the tree planting season.

Every gift, large or small, makes a difference.  To make an on-line contribution, please click the button below. Checks sent to the address below are also welcomed. Trees Knoxville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax deductible.

Thank you for supporting the trees in your community by giving to Trees Knoxville.
